And in case Mother Nature doesn't cooperate, Sam von Trapp reported that they fired up and tested their snowmaking fan gun in the past week, over the summer upgraded the water system and are planning to provide some early season snow for skiing. Light Fluffy Powder, Yeah! The latest in our series of storms was the best yet — 7” of light fluffy powder! On top of the rain crust, we now have some fantastic conditions. Sunday night storms Our second Sunday night storm brought some heavy wet snow with a smidge of new snow on top. It’s a great base, and once thoroughly groomed, pretty nice skiing!
