Support Youth Skiing Programs by Making a Donation
Want to do more to support youth nordic skiing programs in Stowe and Vermont?
The Stowe Nordic Foundation is a federally tax exempt 501(c)(3) corporation. Funds donated to the Foundation are maintained in a dedicated account and will be used to support youth skiing. This may include helping junior skiers with the costs of training and racing programs, or supporting programs that introduce young skiers to the sport who might not otherwise have the opportunity. Questions about donating to the Stowe Nordic Foundation may be addressed to foundation@stowenordic.org
Stowe Land Trust- Adams Camp Connector: Donations Still Needed!
The Adams Camp Connector is an 85-acre parcel connecting two large areas of previously conserved land: the Bouchard Farm and Adams Camp. This conservation project will protect important connections for recreationists and wildlife movement from the Little River to the eastern slopes of Mt. Mansfield. It will conserve a portion of the Catamount Trail and Stowe Derby.
Once preserved, the project will seek to improve the trail connections for skiers, bikers, walkers and runners.
Recreation, however, is not the sole benefit. Identified as a “high priority area” by Vermont Conservation Design, this parcel is considered critical to protecting intact forested habitat, healthy aquatic and riparian systems, and a diverse ecosystem on which plant and animal communities depend.
The project is close but not quite at its goal – Please consider giving a donation to this project. The deadline for donations is December 31st, 2024.
