Mansfield Backcountry Alliance becomes CTA Chapter
Mansfield Backcountry Alliance (MBA) was founded in 2023, and advocates for more safe, accessible, and sustainable human-powered winter recreation within the Mount Mansfield region. MBA aims to cultivate this with community-driven stewardship, fostering partnerships, creating equitable access to human-powered skiing, and supporting the education of uphill and backcountry travel. Their current focus is on advocating for uphill travel at Stowe Mountain Resort and sanctioning backcountry travel access in the Mansfield area, starting with Nebraska and Sterling Valley.
