2018-2019 Ski Programs

Stowe Nordic ski programs are open and accepting registrations.  All our programs are subsidized so are only available to club members.  There is more information and online registration on our website at https://stowenordic.org/programs/ or if you have questions contact us at info@stowenordic.org.Here’s a quick summary:

1.  Youth Ski Program (aka BKL):

For decades this has been Stowe’s premiere opportunity to teach kids to cross-country ski….our belief is that no one should grow up in Stowe without knowing how to cross-country ski well.  From a child’s first time on skis to their first ski race (if they choose to) we have it covered in a fun, encouraging, professionally coached environment.

  • Age:  K-8th grade (all ability levels)
  • Cost:  $190
  • Location:  Stowe Mtn Resort XC Center
  • Dates:  Tuesdays 3:45-5:45pm, December 11th – March 12th

2.  Masters Ski Program:

Designed for the more ambitious skier this program focuses on both fitness and technique to make you a better skier which means you will be faster, more efficient and have more fun every time you ski.

  • Age: 30+
  • Cost: $170
  • Location:  Stowe Mtn Resort XC Center
  • Dates:  Mondays at 4pm, late September through late March

3.  Women’s Group:

Specifically developed for recreational women skiers who want to improve their ski technique in a fun supportive environment.  Led by master skier Gina Campoli, a long time women’s coach and contributor to the local nordic scene.

  • Age: 30+
  • Cost: $85
  • Location:  Stowe Mtn Resort XC Center
  • Dates:  Fridays at 3:30pm, mid September through early March

 

Annual Club Meeting – October 22nd

Our annual meeting will be held on Monday October 22nd.  Please join us for a fun (and FREE) social event and hear about what the club has planned for the coming year.

  • 3:30pm:    Special dryland training session with a guest coach
  • 5:00pm:    Free dinner with cash bar (including club specials)
  • 5:45pm:    Annual meeting presentation
  • Location:  Commodores Inn, Rt 100, just south of Stowe town center

 

Time to Renew Your Stowe Nordic Membership:

It’s time once again to renew your club membership.  Through your membership support we are able to keep doing a bunch of great things.

Club Trip to Quebec City – March 22nd-24th:

Season Pass Discounts:

Get the best deals on season passes at the two great touring centers here in town:

  • Stowe Mountain Resort XC-Center:  40% off with your club membership.  All club members will receive a membership card (mailing within the next couple of weeks) that you must present to get the discount.  Discounted passes can be purchased any time, up to and after the beginning of ski season
  • Trapp Family Lodge:  Trapps’ best deal (20% off) runs from October 1st through 31st.  November 1st the discount drops to 10%, through the end of November, then full price.
