Moonlight Ski – Tuesday, January 16th – 6 PM:

Our next moonlight ski is Tuesday night (Jan 16th).  Meet at 6pm on the Rec Path behind Mountain Ops and Topnotch Tennis Center.  We’ll ski the Rec Path by the light of the moon and finish at Sushi Yoshi with some special moonlight skier deals.  This outing is appropriate for all ages and ability levels.  We recommend parking at Sushi Yoshi and they will shuttle us up to the start – shuttle leaves at 5:45pm.   Alternatively you can ski from the restaurant out to the start (an easy 30-40 minute ski out along the Rec Path) – we’ll meet you at the start or along the way.

Tuesday is projected to be mild with some light snow…perfect for an evening ski.  Dress for the weather and you may also want to bring a headlamp.

CONDITIONS:  The Rec Path is getting hit hard with the current thaw, but we are hoping for enough snow over the weekend to revive it for skiing on Tuesday.  Keep an eye on the Events list on the left side of our website home page (www.stowenordic.org)  If you do not see “cancelled”, we’re on.

WOW, What a Great Day!  “Crosscut Classic” Ski Race:

Last Sunday Stowe Nordic hosted the inaugural Crosscut Classic 10K Zak Cup ski race at Stowe Mtn Resort XC Center.  We want to thank all the volunteers and racers who turned out for a really fun and successful day.  We had over 100 racers from 5 to 75 years old competing under blue skies, on perfect snow, and enjoying windless conditions.  It couldn’t have been much better!   Hope to see you next year at the 2nd Annual Crosscut Classic in early January 2019.

Thank You to Our Sponsors for Their Support of Cross Country-Skiing in Stowe
